A very light, rhythmic technique that follows the lymph pathways just under the skin.

About the session
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is nothing like a deep-tissue massage. The touch is light and slow, moving the skin in gentle, repeating strokes along the body's lymph pathways.
Alecia is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. She works with clients experiencing lymphedema, swelling and post-surgical recovery, as well as anyone looking for lymphatic support.
Some sessions begin and end with a simple tape measurement of the area being worked, so you have a record to compare.
What to expect
- Gentle, rhythmic, repetitive strokes. Most people find it deeply calming.
- Clothing adjusted or draped so the area being worked can be reached.
- Water afterwards, and an easy rest of the day if you can.
- If you are managing a medical condition, tell us when you book so we can plan the session with you.
